When El Nino hit the North Shore of Hawaii with the largest ocean swell of the century, the EXTREME production crew was there with IMAX® cameras and some of world's most accomplished big-wave surfers in the world. On the same day that the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Surfing Challenge was cancelled because conditions were too extreme, a handful of surfers ventured into the unknown, as they 'towed-in' to what some are calling the biggest waves ever surfed.
