DJ
FREE OF SOULFOOD SCORES SOUNDTRACK
EXTREME - an action packed adventure sport documentary filmed
with IMAX® cameras featuring some of the world's best extreme
sports athletes, will be released worldwide in March 1999. It's
music track features the sounds of SOULFOOD,
who have integrated pop hooks, tribal chants, electronica, nature
sounds and organic instrumentation dating back some 40,000 years
into a unique musical journey not to be missed.
Forest (Producer of Musical Starstreams) calls SOULFOOD "A step
beyond DEEP FOREST and ENIGMA." DJ FREE complements the films
respect for nature by mixing elemental sounds of the Earth with
indigenous chants from around the world featuring Arapata McKay,
Frank (Anakwad) Montano and Little Rock Reed.
The original music for EXTREME is a combination of DJ FREE'S
score and selected tracks from his 1998 critically acclaimed
release SOULFOOD
Breathe. In addition to SOULFOOD, the film
features a variety of diverse artists including:
EXTREME's original music was recorded and mixed in SOULFOOD

Directed by Jon Long, produced by Neils de Jong Franken and
executive produced by Peter Beyak, EXTREME is ready for release
and will be coming to an IMAX® theater near you.
Original music composed, arranged and produced by SOULFOOD and
DJ FREE. Mixed by Mark Wright and DJ FREE at CBC Studios, Toronto,
