Feagin
Big-wall Climber

Her passion to climb the biggest, most sheer rock faces in the
world, make Nancy Feagin an inspiration for all climbers. On her
lifelong quest to tackle the big walls of the world, she's managed
to set some rock climbing standards in several disciplines, including
speed-climbing. She was part of the first all-female, one day
ascents of The Nose and Salathe Wall on El Capitan, and has soloed
three big walls in Zion in southern Utah. She accomplished the
2,000-foot Lotus Tower in Canada's Northwest Territories in a
remarkable time of only 10 hours. After graduating from Duke University
with degrees is engineering and computer science, Nancy took up
competitive climbing, consistently placing in the top 10. She
has also won the Canadian Nationals and placed third in a World
Cup speed-climbing event.
