Ken Bradshaw was born in Houston, Texas in 1952 and later left a promising football career to pursue his dream of surfing big waves. He first moved to Encinitas, California, but settled 3 years later on OahuÕs North Shore where he could surf year round. Since then, Ken has ridden waves that most would not even consider paddling into. For the past 25 years his passion, desire and a fearless attitude, have allowed him to become one of the greatest big-wave surfers of all time. On January 28th 1998, his dream became reality, surfing undoubtedly the largest wave ever ridden. This historic moment was captured with IMAX® cameras, during the filming of EXTREME.
