Barry Blanchard, an internationally certified mountain guide (UIAGM), is known for his extreme alpinisim. From Everest to Peru, he has been around the world seeking new and more difficult alpine routes - mastering what many in the world of ice and alpine climbing consider the most difficult in the world.

Barry has tackled peaks in Asia 8 times, including trips to Everest, K-2 and the Rupal Face of Nanga Parbat. He's guided for more than 20 years in the Andes, Alps, and northern ranges of North America. Most recently, he's added three first ascents in the Mt. Alverstone area of the St. Elias to his list of climbs.
